Questions to Ask Before Arranging Cremation
Every cremation of a death in Oklahoma needs a permit from the state medical examiner as well as a signed authorization from the person with the legal right to decide. State law sets the permit fee at between $200 and $275, so ask whether a quoted price includes it, along with transportation, death certificates and the return of the cremated remains. Under the FTC Funeral Rule any funeral home must give you a General Price List on request.
